Hannes Schneider, a skiing instructor, invented the “Arlberg technique” which became world-famous. And the world cam to St. Anton – no other Austrian ski resort is more international.
85 cable railways and lifts give access to a fantastic arena offering all opportunities: 276km of prepared slopes and 180km of deep-snow downhills, relaxed family runs for beginners, varied funparks for snowboarders and new school skiers, a Cyber Area for carvers, demanding steep slopes and high-alpine tours for the sporty and for pros.
The area of the Arlberg ski area covers 50km² and ranges from St. Anton (1,300m) to Vallugagipfel summit (2,811m)!
