The Gasteinertal ski area is amongst the most popular of Austria. It is not only famous for its Alpine World Cup ski races, but also for its reputation as spa and wellness town. This destination is perfect for all who want to combine skiing or snowboarding with wellness in the Gastein spa world.
There are different ski areas in the Gasteinertal area which vary in difficulty. Four big ski areas feat. a total of 51 lifts are in the area. The Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel areas form the biggest connected ski area, the Sportgastein ski area features the highest summits, the Dorfgastein-Großarl connected ski area is famous for its family-friendliness. More than 200km of well-prepared downhills plus many deep snow runs, mogul fields and funparks provide for a varied skiing experience.
