Stuhleck near Spital am Semmering is the highest mountain (1782 m) in the east of the Alps and the largest ski area in the east of Austria. In 1891 Stuhleck was the first peak which was mounted on skis.
The region Spital am Semmering-STuhleck is a real paradise for every skier and winter sports aficionados. Detachable 4 and 6-seater chair lifts (partly equipped with bubbles) provide a lot of comfort and take you up the mountains quickly. Then you can enjoy skiing on 24 km of pistes which are also equipeed with snow-making facilities.
You can party after a long day of skiing or even go skiing by night on illuminated pistes.
