Starting Point: Molln-Breitenau - Gasthaus Steiner - Kraml - turn left into the Kogler haul trail after 300m - continue to the car park at the Kogler property.
Nice half-day hike through a wintry forest area which offers fantastic panoramic views of the mountain ranges of the Kalkalpen National Park. Sturdy boots are required. Possibility to stop at Schobersteinhaus Lodge, which is open all year from Wednesdays to Sundays (call 07584/2035) or at Steiner-Kraml Guesthouse in the valley (closed on Tuesdays; call 07584/3017).

Short winter hike offering dreamlike panoramic views

Starting Point: Steinbach/Steyr Village Square
This easy hike leads across hills from where you enjoy fantastic views, past 5 wayside crosses that form a Way of the Cross and into the romantic Färberbachtal Valley and then, almost effortlessly, back to the starting point!
Sturdy boots are required.
Possibility to stop at guesthouses in the village.

GRÜNBURGER HUT - HOCHBUCHBERG MOUNTAIN (1273m)
Hike to one of the most popular huts of the country
Walking Time: 1.5 hours
Starting Point: Grünburg - Haunoldmühle turnoff - turn left into the "Hiasn" haul trail after one 1km (direction Molln), Rieserberg car park.
Description: this impressive scenic hike offers views of the Tote Gebirge Mountain Range, the Sengsen and Hintergebirge Mountain Ranges and the Haller Mauern Range. From Grünburger Hut hut it´s only a 30-minute hike to the popular Hochbuchberg Summit (1273m). On sunny days you can clearly see the Große Priel and Traunstein Mountains. The descent is easy and you can then enjoy hearty plain dishes at Grünburger Hut.
