Winter pleasures and relaxation at the 4-star Hotel Garni Gruber...in a sunny and quiet, yet central location right next to the romantic winter walking path. The centre of our village offers a popular shopping area and many good restaurants and nice inns can be easily reached within a 5-minutes-walk (no car needed).
Cross-country skiing stadion, access to tracks, night tracks and Nordic Walking tracks are next to the hotel.
The free ski shuttle stops right in front of the hotel and takes you to the lifts of the
St. Johann Bergbahn in the Kitzbueheler Horn ski area.
20 lifts and 2 gondolas take skiers and snowboarders to the top of the mountain where they find more than 60 km of snowsure slopes. Artificial snow-making facilities cover 80% of the skiing area.
18 traditional and cosy ski huts are available on the mountain for that all important rest & dining in a pure alpine setting.

The St. Johann holiday region is the centre for cross-country skiing in Tirol offering 170 km of tracks (classic & skating), 700 km together with neighboring villages as well as 50 km accessible also in spring due to their high location and 3 km of floodlit tracks at the stadion...all of them can be used free of charge.

Snowshoeing, ski touring, night skiing and Nordic Walking are very popular new trend sports.
For the non skier the holiday region offers many kilometers of ploughed and well-signposted winter walking paths and tobogganing tracks.
