The ZUGSPITZ GLACIER is the Alps´most northern glacier and great skiing conditions are guaranteed from the begin of November through early May.
And this is to all SNOWBOARDERS among you! Ehrwald was awarded the "Snowboard Seal of Quality" for its well-groomed slopes, 3 halfpipes and great terrain park. Ehrwald - a resort where ultimate action and fun are guaranteed!
For CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING enthusiasts there are 60 km of splendid trails down in the valley and the 15 km long "Ludwig Ganghofer" high elevation trail caters to both beginners and experts.
Other activities include skating, alpine curling, tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, winter hiking on cleared paths and snow-shoe hiking.
Skiers as well as boarders, cross-country skiers as well as winter hikers all enjoy the best views in the Zugspitz Arena.
On the one hand of the prominent Zugspitze, the Wetterstein massif and the Mieminger chain; on the other, of sporting and romantic winter days in the snow.
60 km cross-country skitrails surround the village and 15 km Ganghofer high trail on the Ehrwalder Alm for beginers and experts.
Ice-skating and curling on the Kunsteisbahn, horse-drawn carriage rides, winter walks make your winterholiday to an experience.
