The tourism municipality Loich is located at the "Mariazeller" railway track, in a side valley of the upper Pielach valley, at an altitude of 442 m. The peaceful, densely wooded area offers many possibilities of hiking to its visitors. Well-tended inns, friendly boarding houses and private rooms are at our guests´ disposal and offer good value for money.
A true holiday experience for families with children is a holiday at the farm.
Sights: Parish church dating back to 1784, sanctified to the holy Nikolaus, Baroque side altars.
On the occasion of the 60-years anniversary of the emperor Franz Joseph on the throne, the community of Loich built the "Kaiser-Jubiläumsbrunnen" (the anniversary fountain of the emperor).
Museum of local history - private collection of which the culture and homeland association is in charge of. Visit our Pichl mill. It is the only grinding mill in the Pielach valley. After a telephone reservation in the municipal office, you can watch the grinding of the corn to flour.
Apart from the Pielach valley circle hiking path, there are many excursion possibilities, as for instance: Eisenstein, Hohenstein, Falklmauern, Schnabelstein, marked walking paths with many banks for a rest.
Or even take a ride on the "Mariazeller" train.
