Right in the middle of the Waldviertel region, you can find 13 villages of the market community Pölla with the 3 parishes Altpölla, Franzen, Neupölla.

Numerous possibilities of excursions make the community area an interesting and worthwile holiday experience, not only culturally, as for instance the First Austrian museum for everyday history, but also from a sports tourism point of view: tennis courts, bathing, diving and fishing possibilities, cycle and hiking paths.
Discover the life of former times by visiting the ruins Schauenstein und Dobra or the peace church Döllersheim which is a memorial of the evacuation in the Waldviertel. A preserved monument of the time of the early Old Stone Age is the rock cave "Frauenluckn" in Schmerbach am Kamp.
