The municipality of Roßleithen is located in Garstnertal and extends from the Sengsen Mountains (Hoher Nock 1963m, Kalkalpen National Park) to the Warscheneckstock Mountain Range (Toter Mann 2300m; Totes Gebirge). Roßleithen is located within easy reach of the great ski slopes in Hinterstoder-Höss and Spital am Pyhrn-Wurzeralm, and there is great ski touring terrain available for all experience levels.
Frozen Lake Gleinkersee offers great skating and curling, and Enhagen Zoo and Leisure Center is open whenever the paths are free of ice. Horse lovers should head to the riding stables in Seebach.
